Position Title: ARD Facilitator (Junior High, Grades 78)
Location: Area near San Antonio, Texas
Work Hours: 7:30 AM 4:00 PM, MondayFriday
We are seeking a skilled ARD Facilitator to lead Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings at the junior high level. The ideal candidate will possess either Special Education certification or administrative certification with hands-on experience in facilitating ARD meetings. This role is central to ensuring that special education processes are executed smoothly, compliantly, and with collaboration across teams.
Schedule, organize, and facilitate ARD meetings, ensuring timely communication with staff, parents, and other stakeholders.
Prepare, review, and process ARD/IEP documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state and federal guidelinestypically completed within required post-meeting timelines.
Lead discussions during ARD meetings, ensuring all voices are heard and the meeting stays focused, timely, and student-centered.
Maintain systematic communication between special education and general education staff regarding IEP goals, accommodations, and student progress.
Oversee documentation for extended services, assessment referrals, behavior or transition plans, and end-of-year procedures as needed.
Ensure the campus remains in compliance with federal, state, and local special education mandates; support administrators and staff in procedural adherence.
Attend staff development and special education team meetings when required, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
Certification: Texas Special Education Teacher certification, or Administrator certification with documented experience facilitating ARD meetings.
Experience: Experience working in special educationincluding direct ARD facilitation or related responsibilities.
Skills:
Strong grasp of special education law, ARD/IEP processes, and procedural timelines.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Capacity to remain neutral and guide constructive discussions in complex, multidisciplinary settings.
Proficiency with education data systems and standard productivity tools.
