Job Description

A certified School Counselor is needed to support students in Kindergarten through 12th grade at a K-12 school located in Sterling Heights, MI. This contract position is for the current school year (CSY) and focuses on providing counseling services and academic guidance to ensure student success.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting high school students in maintaining progress toward graduation requirements
• Helping students understand and plan their credits effectively
• Supporting student scheduling to align with academic and career goals
• Providing counseling services to students across grades K-5 and 9-12
• Collaborating with staff to address student social, emotional, and academic needs

Qualifications and experience desired:

• Possession of a valid Michigan School Counselor certification
• Experience working with middle and high school students preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills to assist with scheduling and academic tracking
• Ability to provide compassionate and supportive counseling services
