$600,000.00/yr - $750,000.00/yr

Seeking a Chief AI Officer (CAIO) to lead the strategy and execution of artificial intelligence initiatives across the entire company. As a member of the senior leadership team, the CAIO will be the primary advocate and driver of the AI vision, responsible for shaping how the company leverages AI to innovate the product portfolio, optimize operations, and create new business opportunities. This role requires a leader with a profound understanding of AI technologies, a proven track record of bringing AI-powered products to market at scale, and the ability to inspire and manage a world-class team of engineers and scientists.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive the company's holistic AI strategy , aligning AI initiatives with overall business goals and market trends.
• Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary team of AI researchers, machine learning engineers, and data scientists.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of AI product development, from research and ideation to deployment and long-term maintenance.
• Serve as a key spokesperson for the company on all matters related to AI , representing vision to customers, partners, and the public.
• Partner with product and engineering leaders to integrate AI capabilities into core software offerings.
• Establish and champion ethical AI principles, ensuring models are developed and used in a responsible and transparent manner.
• Manage budgets, resource allocation, and strategic partnerships related to AI technologies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in technology, with at least 5-7 years in a senior leadership role overseeing AI/ML teams.
• Proven track record of successfully shipping large-scale, enterprise-grade software products with embedded AI functionality.
• Deep understanding of current and emerging AI technologies, including generative AI, large language models, computer vision, and machine learning operations ( MLOps ).
• Exceptional business acumen and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling business strategies.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with executives and stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in a public company environment is highly desirable.
• Experience managing 20+ PHDs
