About the Company

Our client is a fast-growing startup building an all-in-one fundraising platform for founders. The product streamlines relationship management, investor prospecting, deal rooms, cap table tracking, and secure document sharinghelping founders run better fundraising processes from start to finish. Headquartered in New York, the company already serves thousands of high-growth startups and investors.

The Role

We are seeking a hands-on CTO with proven startup experience, ideally someone who has helped take an early-stage SaaS product from concept to scale. You will own the technical vision, lead architecture and execution, and build a best-in-class engineering function as the company grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, architecture, and delivery of the core product platform, including CRM, investor databases, deal rooms, and cap table management.
• Define and execute the technology roadmap: infrastructure, scalability, performance, integrations, and security.
• Hire, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering and product team.
• Oversee integrations with key external systems (e.g. email, workflow automation, data APIs).
• Ensure data privacy, compliance, and system security at scale.
• Work closely with the CEO and leadership team to align product direction with business priorities.
• Operate with startup agility: shipping quickly, testing MVPs, and iterating based on user feedback.

About You

• Previous experience as a CTO or senior technical leader in an early-stage SaaS company (seedSeries A ideal).
• Deep knowledge of SaaS architecture, cloud infrastructure, APIs, and real-time data systems.
• Hands-on background in backend engineering (Node.js, Python/Django, .NET, or similar).
• Proven ability to lead product development in fast-paced, resource-constrained environments.
• Strong track record of hiring and building engineering teams.
• Excellent communicator who can translate technical concepts into business value.

Bonus Points

• Experience building tools for fundraising, investor relations, or private capital markets.
• Familiarity with CRM, data enrichment APIs, or document management workflows.
• Knowledge of security, compliance, and data protection standards (e.g. SOC2, encryption).
• Exposure to AI/ML-driven features, particularly for workflow automation or personalization.
