To learn more about CoinFlip and how to get started on your digital currency journey, visit We’re seeking a Staff Accountant (CPA) responsible for assisting in all areas related to the cryptocurrency accounting process, including domestic and international regions. This position will be responsible for booking the monthly journal entries, preparing rollforwards, developing controls and process improvements, consolidating international entities, and assisting in researching and resolving complex accounting issues as they arise. The Staff Accountant (CPA) will also collaborate with various teams across the organization such as the Operations, FP&A, and Data Analytics Teams. Responsibilities Preparation of general ledger account reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy of source data Enter data into NetSuite via journal entry or other transaction types as necessary Assist Financial Reporting Manager in preparation of financial statements and other internal reporting on a monthly basis Analyze and document revenue recognition of new business lines under ASC 606 Review standard accounting areas prepared by staff accountants including but not limited to fixed assets, prepaids, and accrual Coordinating with international CPAs to complete month end close for foreign entities Obtain and analyze data from multiple sources to consolidate, develop into schedules that will be used as support documents for the month-end close process Utilize data visualization and business intelligence tools to make processes more efficient Documenting internal controls and processes for accurate and timely financial reporting Collaborating with Accounting & Finance and various other departments on a daily basis Other duties as assigned Qualifications CPA or CFA license or in process of obtaining, preferred Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field 2+ years of industry or public accounting experience Highly proficient in Microsoft Office with a working knowledge of Tableau and ERP Systems (NetSuite is ideal) Intellectually curious, demonstrated ability to improve and implement processes to maximize efficiency Self-starter, strong organizational skills, detail oriented Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship Ability to work in our Chicago office Nice To Have Experience with NetSuite, Alteryx, and Tableau General passion and knowledge of fintech and crypto Base Salary Range: $90,000-$110,000 USD For all United States based opportunities, our comprehensive benefits package includes, for all full-time employees, competitive health, dental, and vision insurance plans through BlueCross BlueShield (employer subsidized), a generous retirement savings plan with company match up to 4%, performance based bonuses and paid time off.
