Senior Medical Director LGBTQ+ Focused Primary Care Location : Providence, RI Compensation : $250,000 $350,000 ~ Relocation assistance available! Clinic Hours : Mon 10 am 7 pm, Tues-Fri 8 am 5pm A mission-driven primary care clinic in Providence is seeking a Medical Director to lead its clinical and administrative operations. This is a unique opportunity for a board-certified Family or Internal Medicine physician who values community-based care, health equity, and serving LGBTQ+ populations in an inner-city setting. This role blends patient-facing responsibilities with leadership duties, including training providers, reviewing best practices, and overseeing clinic performance and quality initiatives. Key Responsibilities : Provide primary and sexual health care to a diverse patient population, with a focus on LGBTQ+ individuals Conduct STI and HIV screening and treatment Guide and mentor a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, NPs, and nurses Oversee clinic workflows, operations, and clinical quality improvement Ensure culturally affirming and evidence-based care practices Contribute to strategic planning and clinic growth initiatives Implement and monitor clinical performance metrics Provide feedback and support to staff on documentation and EMR usage Qualifications : ~ MD or DO with active Rhode Island license (or ability to obtain) ~ Board certified in Family or Internal Medicine ~510 years of experience in primary care, with at least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role ~ Experience working with LGBTQ+ populations and delivering gender-affirming care ~ Strong interest in mentoring and operational oversight ~ Proficiency with EMRs (Athenahealth experience a plus) ~ Spanish or Portuguese language skills are a plus ~ Passion for working in underserved, diverse, and urban communities Create a job alert for this search #J-18808-Ljbffr
