Must-Haves : -BS degree in technical discipline -4+ years quality engineering exp -4+ years with PPAP and APQP - launch activities a must (New product launch) -3+ years CMM programming -2+ years exp with GD&T-reading and interpreting prints -Automotive experience Duties and Responsibilities Program, train and implement CMM inspections. Prepare and submit PPAP's per company and/or customer requirements. Monitor and improve the quality of operational processes and outputs. Design quality standards, inspecting materials, equipment, processes, and products, developing quality control systems, and determining corrective actions. Act as the Quality Assurance Representative for APQP and all related issues. Work in conjunction with customers, engineering, and production departments to resolve internal and customer issues. Oversees and champion all external and internal problem-solving teams. Serve as an associate member of the Material Review Board. Conduct off-site quality system surveys with the Purchasing Department of our suppliers and subcontractors. Ensures that follow-up corrective action is addressed, implemented and is effective. Submit and attain customer deviations as required. Audit internal quality systems and improves them as needed. Train and mentor Quality Engineers, Technicians and Inspectors. Prepares and submits monthly forecasts to the Quality Manager for any/all cost affiliated with the position.
