Job Description
Do you have a banking operations background along with exceptional Excel skills? Are you detail-oriented, organized, mathematical, and results-oriented? Do you possess secondary education in accounting, finance, or business? This Cash Accounting Cash Applications Specialist role is made for the Excel skilled (experience working with vlookups and pivot tables), number crunching, relationship building, self-motivated and self-directed professional. The Cash Accounting Cash Applications Specialist will be responsible for allocating large dollars of premiums and claim payments to accounts within North America. The cash will come in via ACH, Wire Payments/ and Check Form. You will be preparing, processing, calculating, allocating, reporting, and documenting daily. Due to the nature of the work, it is 100% onsite.
salary: $23 - $24 per hour

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities
- Immerse into a tight-knit, high-functioning, positive, "can-do" Commissions and Fee Cash Application Team within a Fortune 500 Global Leading Company
- Team up with 9 onshore team members and 2 offshore team members daily
- Prepare and process a high volume of received premium and claim payments
- Handle a high volume of incoming ACH/Wire/Check payments ensuring they right dollar amount is allocated to the right account
- Transfer funds when applicable
- Track deposit allocations utilizing your exceptional Excel skills
- Capture and track bank deposits
- Return unapplied premium payments to the proper owner
- Code lockbox deposits with the right general ledger account number
- Utilize your exceptional customer care skills by providing all-encompassing information in one email response to support the client's inquiries and needs; avoiding laser responses and back-and-forth communication
- Partner with stakeholders, team members, managers, and banks to ensure best practices and efficiencies are in place
- Research outstanding items to drive results
- Must be able to work onsite 100%
